"Yay for stories! And for sending them to lots of friends while bored at
work! Like any of you REALLY care about this:
I'm at work and we're pinning up posters of the medical residents in
one of the conference rooms where we've taken the Friday pizza, and
this one resident named Larry comes in. He's a newbie, but both my
bosses (Barb and Deena) have already befriended him, like they do ALL
the residents. So Deena's talking to him for a bit, then Barb goes over
and talks to him, and Deena says to me, "He's so nice. He love to cook
and he's cute!" I agree. "I want to set him up with somebody, but I
don't think I know anyone. Do you know anyone?" and I said no, I didn't
know anyone much older than myself, that one of my cousins is married
and the other has a live-in boyfriend. She then goes and asks him if
he's single and after he leaves, Deena tells me he replied with "Yes.
Is Kate single? She's very cute."
And then I laughed and said, "Oh great, so that makes two on my list of
medical-interns-who-like-Kate list. But he's, like, 7 years older than
I am." Deena said, "Yeah, but when you get down to it, age doesn't
really matter. I know you already have a boyfriend, but if you know of
anyone who's available, I want to hook him up with someone."
Barb then said, "What's wrong with Kate? Kate's free!" I said, "I have
a boyfriend!" and she said, "I don't see an engagement ring on your
finger!! I keep telling you about how you need to keep yourself
open 'till one pops up." I sighed and went back to working while Barb
and Deena chatted.
Oy vey. The point of this e-mail is to tell you about the fun times I
have at work, and in case you know of anyone who may be interested in
dating a nice 26-year-old doctor (I have two, count 'em, TWO available!
prime condition!), bidding opens at high noon tomorrow. Haha, just
kidding. But seriously. I want to get Barb off my back about dating
only one person, so maybe if I get all the single residents NOT single,
she'll stop bugging me :P
Any of y'all or peeps you know interested? For more specs on these

or by asking me when I get back to the suite.
